Something is genuinely and severely wrong with our society! Otherwise why a 16-year-old girl in the beginning of her career would go on posting apologies on every social media possible?
That’s exactly the case with the case with Zaira Wasim, the young actress, who played the role of young Geeta Phogat in Dangal, has sent shockwaves down Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with a brutally honest apology letter. A letter that is concerning and disturbing in equal measure.
“I want to apologise to all those people who I’ve unintentionally hurt and I want them to know that I understand their sentiments behind it especially considering that what had happened over the past 6 months but I hope people can also understand there are certain circumstances that emerge which one cannot control and I hope people still remember that I’m just a 16-year-old girl and I hope you treat me accordingly. I’m sorry for what I did but it was not a deliberate decision and I really hope people can forgive me.”
This is what she wrote in her public apology.

It remains unclear what prompted the young artist to pen such a strong apology. Was she threatened by religious extremists for something she did? Or, was it her recent meeting with Mehbooba Mufti, that stirred something no one yet knows what? No one knows what made her apologise and for what.
Whatever the case is it’s really concerning.
People reacted all over the social media in support of Zaira.
