The mother-in-law of Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone had been kidnapped in Brazil.

However, things took an unusual turn, when 67-year-old Aparecida Schunk was freed without ransom. The armed robbers who had kidnapped Schunk from her home last week were caught by Sao Paulo policemen last night.

The suspects, who demanded a ransom of 36 million dollars, have been taken in custody. They were soon captured after an anti-kidnapping team saved Schunk from a building, where she was found tied up in one corner.

That was a narrow escape for Formula One Tycoon and his mother-in-law. Thanks to Sao Paulo police.
